Workshop Review
San Diego 2007
On behalf of Dennis Oles and everyone at Online Business Applications
we would like to thank all of our clients that attended the
IRMS Workshop and User Group Session 2007 in San Diego.
We would also like to thank our customers for their support
at the subsequent DIA Medical Communications Conference and
for attending our hospitality suite on Tuesday. The exceptional
relationship between Online and its customers was clear to see
to non-IRMS organizations and we received several admiring comments
and praise.
Thank you again for your continued interest in IRMS and for
your suggestions and assistance in plans for the future!
Day One
The workshop began with Dennis Oles, President of Online Business
Applications introducing his staff, upcoming events and thanking
everyone for their attendance. Dennis then continued to describe
some enhancements of 5.6 including the new system menu and report
enhancements to name a few.
This was followed by Joe Pierce, VP of Sales and Marketing
introducing the upcoming version 5.7.0. Featured benefits included
case query and staff calendar enhancements. This version should
be available the first week of April 07’.
After the break Stephen Harris of Cardio Vascular Therapeutics
together with Ron Coverson of Quantum Performance Systems presented
an overview of the Total Quality Integration of IRMS as applied
to CVT and its impact on performance within the organization.
Online thanks you for your presentation and shared knowledge
for the group.
Dianne Pullman, Director of Education Services at Online Business
Applications presented the first of several trainings provided
in the workshop, Quality Assurance Module training and a question/answer
period. The latter half of the day’s training consisted
of search screen tips, creative uses for e-mail templates, client
data options and setting follow-ups using case correspondence.
Online Business Applications was pleased to have Bob Toia from
Procter & Gamble and Tim Batchelder from EMDSerono present
the E’ Learning segment. Bob Toia not only showed us an
example of how E’ Learning is applied but we also received
a free golf lesson!! To end the day Tim Batchelder addressed
the User Group and gave updates and plans for the future. Don’t
forget to contact Dave Hayward if you’re interested in
joining the IRMS User Group!!
Day Two
Day two started off with an excellent, informative presentation
by Mary Easo from Gilead addressing Globalization of a Medical
Information Database. She touched on the approach to globalization,
observed benefits, challenges and the potential that globalization
can have on a Medical Information Department.
Dianne Pullman took the stage again training on letter formats,
images and using MS Word to improve response letters. This presentation
sparked a lot of interest and offered many useful tips!! Dianne’s
afternoon training focused on overriding options to IRMS default
settings and was very informative as well.
Our last guest presentation was from Victoria Vowles of MerckSerono
focusing on the important topic of Data Protection. Topics covered
included laws and risks, scenarios, issues and applicable conclusions.
Thank you Victoria and to everyone who presented at the Workshop.
Lastly, Online Business Applications introduced the up and
coming Web-IRMS which was very exciting for everyone. As mentioned,
please feel free to submit any suggestions, comments or concerns
to Dave Hayward or any of us here at Online. We appreciate any
feedback and look forward to launching Web-IRMS with you!!
Thanks again for attending and if you missed this session,
