IRMS Workshop
Las Vegas 2006 & San Diego 2007
The 2006 semi-annual IRMS workshop was held on Friday 6th October at Las
Vegas Nevada many thanks to those who attended.
As usual the workshop was full to capacity with more than 25 IRMS users
and decision makers from 14 of the largest organizations in the pharmaceutical
and biotech industry.
We also warmly welcomed a delegate from Astellas Pharmaceuticals USA
who as of yet is not a client of ONLINE Business Applications, Inc. but
was interested to observe our team in action, IRMS, our workshop and the
interaction between our clients and ourselves as well as learn some of
the latest and greatest within the system.
It was commonly agreed by not only our staff but our clients also that
the Las Vegas workshop was the best ever in terms of client interaction,
standing at the back at the room it was fascinating to see the way in
which organizations from as far apart as San Francisco, New Jersey and
Switzerland used the workshop to discuss common issues facing the medical
information industry and how IRMS is able to be used configured and architected
to resolve these issues.
As is usual the main training portion of the workshop was conducted by
Dianne Pullman who on this occasion was fantastically supported by Mike
Green our support lead and a person known too many of our users by voice
if not face and we are delighted that both Mike and Dianne put on such
a seamless display. Dianne’s sessions included but was not limited
to subjects such as, My Inbox, QA Module, Query Tips, Email Templates
and Contact Maintenance.
This was followed by Joe Pierce our Director of Sales and Marketing discussing
Globalization of IRMS and the Highlights of v5.6, Joe then went on to
conduct a QA session and a beat the trainer session in which three of
our clients won themselves chips at the tables, congratulations to Amy
Jordan of TAP, Mark Pomerantz of Wyeth and Caroline Park of Astellas.
For the first time at our Semi-Annual workshop we gave over a significant
amount of time to the IRMS User Group and many thanks to Victoria Vowles
of Serono Geneva, Tim Batchelder of Serono Boston, Amyas Huston of Cubist
and Nathan Howard of P&G for their time, support and ideas regarding
the future development of IRMS and of our organization.
For those of you unable to attend Las Vegas our next user event will
be at San Diego on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd March 2007 the days prior
to the annual DIA Drug Information Association Annual Conference, both
events to take place at Hyatt Islandia San Diego, details of which are
posted to our website www.irmsonline.com
